Polypropylene (PP)
Material characteristcs
Labels made of polypropylene are most commonly used synthetic labels. Their characteristics are similiar to polyethylene, but they have a better stiffness and are much more solid and robust and additionally more resistant against warmth and heat. The transparent variant is used for the no-label-look.
Application
Automotive, electronics, on synthetic- or glaspackaging, suitable for indoor- and outdoor applications, and useable as laminating film
Temperature range
-40°C up to +130°C short term
Resistance
Resistant against fat, solvents, oils, water, lyes and acids. Additionally resistant against environmental impact (e.g. temperature fluctuations) and abrasion resistant
Printing process
Thermal transfer print with resin ribbons and inkjet print
